5X16 Rowing Dock Kit
Little River Marine's 5' x 16' floating rowing dock kit is great for launching and storing longer boats. It is only 7 inches tall so great for shell riggers, or for pulling a Heritage on board by yourself. Kit includes 4 giant but low profile floats that are sealed plastic and are foam filled. Also includes white soft vinyl bumper rail, all galvanized angle plates and inner plates for bolting lumber together (nails or screws won't hold), and all necessary galvanized bolts, nuts, washers and fastners. You purchase the pressure treated wood locally (about $200) and the kit includes the shopping list.
Will support 2 adults standing on the edge - has over 1500 pounds of flotation. Tie the platform to your seawall or big dock your own way. Other sliding attachment products are also available

Heritage mounted next to a larger boat.
|
The same idea works with the Heritage outboard of the pilings. The Heritage should be mounted high enough to remain dry as the big boat is launched. To launch the Heritage, lower until the big boat is close, but not flaoting free. Then hand pull the Heritage off and on it's runners while the big boat stays secure. |
