Little River is now accepting applications for overseas distributors, and for dealers in the U.S.A store front is required as is a passion for people, rowing, and our boats. Inventory is required and must sell Little River Marine brand rowing shells and skiffs exclusively – other types of boats are acceptable (canoes, kayaks, etc).

How to Order a Boat

How do I place an order?

Most boats are ordered through a quote-based process rather than online checkout.

To get started, contact us directly:

We begin by preparing a formal estimate, which is the first step in placing an order. To generate an accurate quote, we’ll need:

  • Boat model

  • Hull and deck color selections

  • Fiberglass or carbon fiber construction

  • Shipping address (used to determine Flat Rate Shipping)

  • Phone number

  • Desired accessories such as oars, covers, mirrors, or motor mounts

Once the estimate is reviewed and approved, your build can be scheduled.


How long does it take to get a boat?

Lead time depends on our current production schedule and order backlog. An estimated timeline is provided with your initial quote and confirmed again once a deposit is received.

We prioritize build quality over calendar deadlines. A boat is not scheduled for shipment until it is fully complete and has passed final inspection.


How do I pay?

Most boats are ordered through a quote-based process rather than online checkout. This allows us to confirm specifications, options, and delivery details before construction begins.

For quote-based orders, a 20% deposit is required to confirm the build. The formal estimate includes a secure link to accept and pay the deposit using:

  • Credit or debit card

  • Venmo

When your boat is complete, the remaining balance is paid prior to shipping via:

  • Wire transfer

  • ACH

  • Credit card


Online purchases and PayPal payments

PayPal is available only for boats and products purchased directly through our website checkout.

For eligible online purchases, PayPal may offer monthly payment options, subject to PayPal approval and terms. These options are not available for custom or manually quoted orders.


What does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are set by a Flat Rate and based on State in the continental USA.

How is my boat delivered?

  • Northeast United States: Delivered on our own trucks and trailers directly to your location.

  • Other North American locations: Shipped with private carriers that specialize in shells and high-end rowing craft.

  • International and remote destinations: Shipped via LTL or LTC freight with appropriate crating and handling.


Sales approach

Our current focus is on factory-direct sales, allowing us to maintain consistent quality, clear communication, and a straightforward buying experience from first inquiry through delivery.
